What's Top of Mind for Mobility Leaders in 2026?

As global talent management strategies continue to shift and evolve, organisations are rethinking how their mobility programs support business goals and their relocating employees. To get a snapshot of the priorities of Global Mobility leaders, Sirva conducted a pulse survey at the WERC Global 25 Conference, gathering insights from 114 organisations across industries and program sizes.

In our pulse survey report, What's Top of Mind for Mobility Leaders, the message we received is clear; Mobility leaders are focused on creating more human, flexible, and efficient programs.

Employee Experience Icon

Employee Experience Takes Center Stage

Enhancing the employee relocation experience emerged as the top global mobility initiative for 2026. Leaders recognise that a positive relocation experience is no longer a "nice to have," but a strategic lever for talent attraction, retention, and performance.

Efficiency and Cost Icon

Efficiency, Cost, and Strategy Still Matter

Following closely behind employee experience were streamlining program administration and optimising costs. Mobility leaders are balancing the need for efficiency with flexibility, while also working to better align mobility programs with broader talent strategies and track return on investment.

Human Support Icon

Human Support Makes the Difference

When asked how to improve the relocation experience, respondents pointed to better education and guidance, more intentional support during relocation, and increased communication. These findings reinforce the importance of proactive, human-centred support throughout the mobility journey.

Policy Icon

Relocation Policies Are Working, But Not Always Perfectly

While most respondents said their global mobility policies are effective, fewer than 15% believe they fully meet all organisational or employee needs. This gap signals an opportunity to modernise policies with greater flexibility, clarity, and personalisation.

Connected Ecosystem Icon

The Power of a Connected Ecosystem

Finally, integration stood out as a critical priority. An overwhelming 95% of respondents said integrating all mobility partners into a single ecosystem is important, underscoring the demand for smarter, more connected programs that reduce complexity, improve data accuracy, and improve relocation outcomes.

What Does This Mean for Mobility Leaders?

The future of global mobility depends on enhancing the employee experience, using integrated technology to connect all partners efficiently, and offering clear guidance to relocating employees. Organizations that prioritise these capabilities today will position mobility as a strategic advantage that empowers talent, strengthens alignment with business goals, and delivers lasting value into 2026 and beyond.
