Sirva Celebrates More Than 7 Million Meals Donated
It is an unfortunate fact that more than 47 million Americans face hunger every single day, including 1 in 5 children, and it is estimated that 38% of the food produced in the U.S. each year is wasted. These are sobering statistics, and people suffering from food insecurity need support now more than ever.
How Sirva Companies Are Helping
Sirva, Allied Van Lines, and North American Van Lines are proud to partner with Move For Hunger, a national hunger relief non-profit organisation that works with moving companies across the country to pick up unwanted from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks across the country. To date, Move For Hunger has helped provide more than 50 million meals to those in need across the United States and Canada. With Move For Hunger, we continue to be committed to fighting food insecurity one move at a time.
According to Lesli Bertoli, Senior Vice President of Moving Networks at Sirva, “In 2025, Sirva, Allied Van Lines, and North American Van Lines together have proudly donated 466,209 meals to those in need. And since the beginning of our partnership with Move For Hunger, Sirva companies have donated more than 7,026,847 meals across the U.S. and Canada.”
