Quarantine Required
• Travelers complete an electronic Public Health Passenger Locator Form prior to entry and carry the resulting certificate (Passenger card) at border control or the residence check; completing the form serves as a high-risk country arrival announcement to a regional public health authority; exceptions include:
- Transiting travelers, transiting in under 12 hours;
- Individuals who have not spent more than 12 hours outside ‘green’ countries, as listed below, in the 14-day period preceding entry;
- Individuals travelling from any country for urgent health, family, business, and work reasons for up to 24 hours;
- Students; and
- Transport staff
• Negative COVID-19 PCR test (in Czech or English), completed no more than 72 hours before departure; or negative COVID-19 antigen test, completed no more than 24 hours before departure; travelers from ‘dark red’ countries (as listed below) must submit a PCR test; antigen tests are not accepted for these travelers; the following categories are exempt:
- Transport personnel transiting the Czech Republic to Germany;
- Travelers transiting by air in under 12 hours;
- Travelers from ‘green’ countries as listed below;
- Children under 5;
- Asymptomatic, recovered travelers, carrying a medical certificate confirming the completion of isolation after a positive RT-PCR test undertaken 14-90 days prior to entry (in English, stamped by an EU/Czech doctor, with the doctor’s identification and contact details); and
- EU or Czech nationals (including nationals of Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and Vatican City), and Czech long-term visa or residence permit holders, recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding entry, carrying a medical certificate issued in the Czech Republic or European Union confirming their recovery
• Additional in-country COVID-19 PCR test, within 5 days of entry for travelers from ‘red’ countries; or no sooner than the 5th day after entry for travelers from ‘dark red’ countries; as listed below; exceptions include:
- Individuals travelling from any country for urgent health, family, business and work reasons for up to 24 hours;
- Children under 5;
- EU or Czech nationals, and Czech long-term visa or residence permit holders, carrying a medical certificate issued in the Czech Republic or European Union confirming recovery from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding entry;
- Students; and
- Those in transit for under 12 hours and transport staff; these individuals must wear a face mask while in the Czech Republic

Immigration
• Consular posts are reopening, subject to local pandemic-related restrictions; some consular posts now offer full visa services; most reopened consular posts however offer only the following limited services:
- Schengen visa application filing and processing for family members of EU/Czech nationals; transport, critical infrastructure, seasonal, health and social services workers; among limited others;
- Long-term visa and residence permit application filing and processing (including processing of pending applications) for seasonal workers; Key and Scientific Personnel Program applicants (including family members seeking to travel together); Highly Qualified Employees Program applicants; and Qualified Employees Program applicants employed in health and social services occupations;
- Long-term visa and residence permit application filing and processing (including processing of pending applications) for family reunification, for spouses and minor children of Czech residents;
- Long-term visa application filing and processing for residence permit collection (D/VR visa), for approved permits, provided that applicants fall in one of the above categories
- Application filing and processing for other visa and residence permit types remains suspended
• Immigration offices continue to process only registration on arrival and residence cards, by prior appointment (scheduled via phone or online); and issue bridging labels (which confirm legal stay status) for those who need to travel abroad (proof required) Travel Restrictions
• Entry is restricted to:
- Czech nationals, their spouses, registered partners, children under 21, parents of children under 21, and parents/grandparents/relatives dependent on care by a Czech/EU citizen;
- Czech residents, permit and visa holders, including UK nationals holding a Certificate of Temporary Residence;
- UK nationals employed or studying in the Czech Republic before 31 December 2020, or who applied for residence before 31 December 2020, carrying entry confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- Essential travel purposes: travel to and from work, essential travel to family, travel for education including internships and examinations, participation in an authorized assembly, transit to the place of residence; among limited other grounds

• High school and university students can only attend practical classes, or they can come to the school to take the exam; however, no more than 10 students may be present at any one time

• As of 12 April, the state of emergency is lifted and pandemic law is enforced:

• Most shops, shopping centers and service providers remain closed, with exception of shops with children's clothing and footwear, stationery, farmers markets, zoos; restaurants and pubs remain closed with open take-away windows between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Hotel restaurants can continue to serve food, only to hotel guests, between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., or operate via take-away windows. Provision of accommodation services continues to be limited to listed exceptions (as business trips or accommodation due to provision of medical services)
• As of 1 March, respirators FFP2/KN95 or higher, surgery masks or other face covers that follow conditions and requirements of CSN EN 14683+AC are obligatory indoor, in public transport, in public spaces in the city/town and in public spaces outside the city/town where a distance of more than 2m cannot be kept; the extraordinary measure on respiratory protection rules from 1 March; home-made face masks are no longer allowed
