SIRVA’s Van Lines Honored with Multiple Awards for Service Excellence and Safety

CHICAGO—(February 17, 2015) — SIRVA, Inc., a leading provider of global mobility services delivering integrated relocation and moving solutions for multi-national corporations, governments and consumers, today announced the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) recognized its van lines, Allied and North American, with awards for providing safe, quality household goods service.  

These annual awards recognize the nation’s safest moving and storage company drivers and owner operators.

Ward North American, agent for SIRVA’s North American Van Lines, was honored with the highly coveted 2014 Moving & Storage Agent of the Year Service Excellence Award. AMSA recognized Ward North American for its commitment to excellent customer service.

Allied Van Lines was recognized with the 2014 Fleet Safety Award in the Over 50 Million Miles category. The award recognized Allied for its overall safety achieved through a highly skilled fleet that operates at the highest level of safety while also providing quality service to moving customers.

Roy Richards received the prestigious honor of being named AMSA’s 2014 Super Van Operator of the Year – Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Richards earned this award because of his illustrious 35-year career as an Allied driver and Owner of Farley Brothers of Lancaster, Inc. He maintains an excellent safety record, community involvement and selfless dedication to helping others.

Bob Hirchak, Jr. has been named the 2014 Super Van Operator of the Year in the Household Goods category. AMSA recognized Hirchak, a successful owner-operator contracted with Nor-Cal Allied Moving Services in Hayward, California, because of his strong safety record and dedication to superior customer service.

AMSA is the national trade association representing the nation’s moving and storage companies, which provide household goods moving services, specialized transportation for sensitive freight such as computers and trade show exhibits, and warehouse storage services. All of the award recipients will be publically honored for their accomplishments at AMSA’s 96th Annual Education Conference & Expo, February 8-11 in Orlando, Florida.
