Allied Van Lines is founded.

1933

northAmerican Van Lines is founded

1966

First Cooperative Resource Services’ legacy companies founded; introduces Home Marketing Assistance to North America

1977

SIRVA’s relocation roots are established with the founding of Executive Relocation Corporation.

1994

CRS introduces riskless, fixed fee home sale options to private sector.

1995

SIRVA creates the proprietary, fixed-fee home sale solution, SIRVA Riskguard, mitigating the risk of home ownership for companies.

1998

CD&R purchased northAmerican Van Lines.

1999

CRS introduces a no closing cost home loan option to help employers save money by eliminating gross-up costs on new home loans.

1999

Merger of Allied and northAmerican Van Lines.

2000

northAmerican Van Lines acquires Global Van Lines and integrates into CD&R ownership structure.

2002

SIRVA is founded to create only globally integrated provider of relocation and moving services.

2002

SIRVA acquires of Rowan Simmons (UK), now SIRVA UK.

2003

SIRVA introduces SIRVA Connect, an industry-leading online relocation management tool.

2003

SIRVA opens a full-service regional and global relocation operations center for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong.

SIRVA formally re-brands Prime International (the relocation operation of our Australian business) as SIRVA Australia.

2004

SIRVA purchases PRS Europe, expanding our presence in Western Europe.

SIRVA acquires New Jersey based Relocation Dynamics, Inc.

SIRVA acquires D.J. Knight & Co., Ltd., a corporate housing management firm with expertise in US corporate housing and in-bound destination services for international assignees.

SIRVA opens and expands operations in China, Middle East, Europe and Costa Rica.

SIRVA announces the acquisition of Executive Relocation.

SIRVA transitioned from public to private ownership.

2010

SIRVA, Inc. acquired Alliance Relocation Services, Inc. to provide better quality and cost control on 3rd party services in the moving industry.

SIRVA introduces five Pre-Decision Counseling program options to help identify employer home sale risks.

SIRVA introduces the Total Relocation Assessment Calculator (TRAC™) to help employers calculate their true total cost of ownership.

SIRVA acquires a Hong Kong based relocation services company to expand its service offering in Asia.

SIRVA deploys in-cab mobile technology with the use of electronic logging devices (ELDs), resulting in improved service to customers.

SIRVA acquires a South American-based relocation company to meet growing demand in the region.

SIRVA launches the SIRVA Connect mobile app, providing on-the-go relocation resources to relocating employees.

2013

SIRVA expands its global footprint with local operations in Doha, Qatar.

SIRVA opens a new global headquarters in Chicago, IL.

SIRVA launches a unique-to-the-market tool designed for lump sum benefits.

SIRVA expands its household goods offering with the acquisition of SMARTBOX, a “do-it-yourself” portable moving and storage company.

SIRVA acquires German-based relocation service provider to enhance service offering in Europe.

SIRVA expands its global offering with the acquisition of Swiss-based relocation and moving providers.

2018

SIRVA acquires Team Relocations, a relocation & move management company based in Amsterdam, with offices across Europe.
