  • • Quarantine requirements have been extended until 31 August 2021

    • 7-day home quarantine for Qatari nationals, residence permit holders, permanent residence permit holders, Qatari nationals and other approved travelers entering from a green list country who have spent at least 7 days in that country prior to arrival

    • 7-day quarantine in a government-approved facility (typically a hotel) booked on Discover Qatar's website for residence permit holders, permanent residence permit holders, Qatari nationals and other approved travelers entering from a country that is not on the “green-list” category

    • Individuals over 65 and unaccompanied minors below the age of 18 entering Qatar may be allowed to home quarantine

    • 7-day hotel quarantine for individuals traveling from the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands and South Africa

    • Residence permit holders, permanent residence permit holders, Qatari nationals and other approved travelers entering from select countries may obtain a COVID-19 PCR test from one of the approved clinics in these countries 48 hours prior to traveling and will not require a follow-up COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival

    • Travelers seeking to fly to Qatar should check with the airline if a COVID-19 test is required before boarding flight

    • Resident Permit holders, who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Qatar no less than 14 days before travel can return to Qatar and will not be required to quarantine if they can provide the results of a negative COVID-19 PCR test; exemption from quarantine is valid for 6 months starting 14 days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine

    • Non-vaccinated children below 16 years of age returning from non-green list countries can quarantine at home for 7 days if their parents are fully vaccinated

    • Suspension of issuance and processing of pre-arranged visit visas and business visas

    • Suspension of issuance and processing of family visas for private sector employees

    • Exceptional issuance of short-term multiple entry work visas

    • In-person immigration application submissions are now possible Travel Restrictions

    • The following travelers may enter Qatar:
    - GCC nationals and their spouses and children traveling together
    - Domestic workers of GCC nationals who must be accompanied by the sponsor or one of the sponsor’s first-degree relatives; their residence permit must be valid for at least six months and their passport must be valid for longer than their residence permit
    - Passengers with a diplomatic ID issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar
    - Spouses and children of nationals of Qatar with proof confirming their family relationship
    - Domestic workers of nationals of Qatar who are accompanied by their sponsor or one of the sponsor's first-degree relatives; they must have a residence permit issued by Qatar
    - Foreign nationals with a residence permit (they must have an Exceptional Entry Permit) and approved work permits

    • Qatar Residence Permit holders who were abroad prior to 29 November 2020 are still required to process their return permit through the Qatar Portal

    • Passengers transiting through Qatar’s airport can continue their journey, provided they have valid documents for their next destination
