  • COVID-19 Testing Requirements Vaccinated or Recovered Travelers Fully vaccinated and recovered travelers do not need to carry a COVID-19 test or test on arrival. Vaccinated travelers carry proof of full vaccination with an EMA-approved vaccine no more than 9 months before entry. Recovered travelers carry proof of recovery no more than 6 months before entry, A health assessment (e.g., temperature check) may be performed upon entry. Non-vaccinated Travelers Negative COVID-19 PCR test, completed no more than 72 hours before entry; or rapid antigen test completed no more than 48 hours before entry; for travelers over age 6. A health assessment (e.g., temperature check) may be performed upon entry. Quarantine Requirements Travelers seeking entry without proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test will be subject to 5-day quarantine. They can cease quarantine if testing negative on day 5. Travelers subject to quarantine must notify the prevention department of the health authority responsible for the area of entry.
  • The State of Emergency has been extended until March 31, 2022. Public offices are open but continue to limit personal appearance. Applicants should anticipate appointment queues with the limitation of one person at a time. Visa application centers offer visa services for travel purposes permitted entry under current entry restrictions and subject to consular availability. Immigration applications are being processed. Applicants should anticipate delays in both appointment scheduling and permit issuance across all permit types and immigration processes. Until March 15, 2022, travelers need a "Super Green Pass" (recognized proof of full vaccination or recovery, e.g., EU Digital COVID Certificate) to enter private and public offices and premises.     • Dispositions for return to school are:
    - Everyone must wear masks and maintain the distance of 1 meter from other people.
    - For children of age between 0-6 y.o. it is warmly suggested to always maintain the same groups of students working with the same teachers.
    - Periodic controls of the health conditions of students and workers must be implemented: temperature must be measured every morning before entrance.
    - Families have to give immediate communication to the school director in case any symptom is found, or the COVID-19 test is positive.
    - If any student presents symptoms, it is absolutely forbidden to go to school: he/she must stay home, and the family needs to call immediately the family doctor.
    - Self-isolation is mandatory for students or workers who have been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 case.
    - If anyone at school should be positive to COVID-19, an extraordinary sanitization of the school has to be done and it will be evaluated if it will be necessary to isolate everyone who has been in contact with the positive person.
    - Distance learning has to be included in the didactic plan, to be ready in case of need.
    - School trips are suspended.
    - For high-schools, 75% of the lessons are in distance learning.


  • • Prefects have the power to make mask-wearing mandatory, in areas of the cities where a high risk of the virus spreading exists.
    - From September 1, 2021, face covering are compulsory at work. From September 2, 2021, face coverings are compulsary at school (this rule excludes people exercising a physical activity).
