  • • Vaccinated Travelers: Foreign nationals entering Indonesia from overseas must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must present their card/certificate with a completed dose according to the vaccination protocol standard that is issued by the health authorities or pharmaceutical companies that produces the vaccines, and is valid in their respective countries.
    - Foreign nationals under the age of 12 years, travelling with their parents and entering Indonesia or traveling via domestic flights, are exempt from showing COVID-19 vaccination card/certificate.

    • Quarantine and COVID-19 Testing: Foreign nationals entering Indonesia from overseas must obtain a medical certificate confirming a negative COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours prior to departure, conducted by the local health authorities in the country of departure.

    • All travelers arriving in Indonesia must undergo:
    - A COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival.
    - 8-day quarantine at a government designated hotel.
    - An additional COVID-19 PCR test on the 7th day of quarantine. Upon negative result of the second PCR test and completion of the 8-day quarantine, travelers are released and are advised to complete a 14-day self-quarantine.

    • Specific quarantine and health screening procedures upon arrival vary depending on the port of entry and are likely to change as the authorities provide further clarifications. Please contact your Fragomen consultant for individualized guidance.

  • • Companies may submit new work permit applications for offshore applicants if they are:
    - involved in a National Strategic Project.
    - Have obtained a recommendation letter from the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to support the application.

    • Fragomen can assist with the BKPM recommendation letter application.

    • Renewal applications are still being processed.

    • The Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) is accepting new visa applications from applicants onshore and offshore. This includes applications for Single Entry Business Visa and Limited Stay Visa.

    • The MOM, DGI and BKPM are suspending applications for Indian nationals until further notice.

    • Foreign nationals residing in Indonesia with a valid ITAS/ITAP/MERP may submit renewal applications at the local immigration office in line with standard procedures.

    • Travel Restrictions: Entry ban for foreign nationals until further notice, except for the following individuals:
    - Diplomatic and official visa and permit holders.
    - Holders of valid temporary stay permits (ITAS) and permanent stay permits (ITAP).
    - Travelers who enter Indonesia for medical and humanitarian reasons (recommendation from relevant government agency required).
    - Vessels crew members.

    • Entry ban until further notice for Indian nationals and foreign nationals with travel history to India within 14 days before entering Indonesia.

  • • Arranging viewing appointments may be a challenge due to limited landlords and agents agreeing to meet and provide access to the property.

    • Handover arrangements are delayed or postponed to a later timing.

    • Due to skeletal workforce, there are delays in utility application approvals.

    • Apartment compounds are limiting the number of house viewings and some compounds will actually do a lockdown by not allowing visitor entry.
