SIRVA’s Supplier Management
What is SIRVA’s approach to managing suppliers?
SIRVA’s approach to managing suppliers is to proactively research relocation industry trends and listen to our customers’ needs, so we can align ourselves with suppliers who offer the services and products that support our clients’ ever-changing needs.
How many suppliers are in your network and in how many countries?
SIRVA manages a network of over 1,000 best-in-class suppliers in over 150 countries.

What is SIRVA’s supplier selection process?
Choosing our network suppliers is a rigorous process. It starts with finding suppliers who can first, meet our stringent list of criteria, and second, have a proven track record of stellar performance and quality scores. Our standard practice is to then follow a Request for Proposal (RFP) process whereby a select group of suppliers’ responses are rated against critical evaluation criteria. The final decision for selecting our network suppliers is made by an objective cross-functional team to ensure that our customers’ needs are represented in the decision-making process.

What are SIRVA’s keys components to successful supplier management?
Holding suppliers to high standards is critical to achieving service expectations. We believe there are four key components to a successful supplier management program.
- Performance: Evaluate how a provider executes based on specific performance standards/metrics.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure supplier delivers a minimum level of quality to customers involved in the process, both internal and external.
- Financial: Evaluate how well a supplier is meeting financial criteria.
- Continuous Improvement: Ensure each supplier executes plans to increase their performance, customer satisfaction and financial impact.

Corporate Sustainability
How does SIRVA support corporate sustainability?
SIRVA designs processes and makes purchases with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) concerns in mind. For example, during the selection of suppliers through our request for proposal process, SIRVA will include questions and requirements around the supplier’s commitment to EH&S. We will look for evidence such as ISO 14001, participation in corporate sustainability networks such as Business for Social responsibility (BSR), expect vendors to contractually agree to conduct appropriate background checks and other safety/security measures.

What can I do to become a network supplier?
If you are not currently a SIRVA network supplier, but would like to be considered, please complete an interest form. Completing and submitting the interest form does not automatically make you a SIRVA network supplier even if you have or are currently doing business with SIRVA.
If SIRVA has a need and you meet our requirements, you may be contacted by a SIRVA Supplier Manager to participate in our selection process. If you have additional questions about doing business with SIRVA or how to become a SIRVA network supplier, please email sirvasuppliermanagement@sirva.com.

I know that we are in your general database of suppliers; does that mean I am a network supplier?
No. Although we maintain a database of many suppliers, we have a stringent selection process to choose our “network” suppliers. If you have not participated in an RFP process, been identified by a SIRVA supplier manager as a “network” supplier and/or signed a “network” supplier contract with SIRVA, you are not currently a SIRVA Network Suppliers (i.e. Preferred Broker [PBN] or Global Certified Partner [GCP]). Please see “How do I become a Network Supplier?” question above.
