Being a champion of the environment, SIRVA designs processes and makes purchases with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) concerns in mind. While reducing environment impact, these types of solutions also reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for our customers. We expect this same level of commitment from corporate relocation services suppliers in our network, and consider their commitment to EH&S during our selection process.
For example, when selecting suppliers through our request for proposal process, we include questions and requirements around the supplier’s commitment to HS&E. We look for evidence such as ISO 14001, participation in corporate sustainability networks such as Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) expect vendors to contractually agree to conduct appropriate background checks and other safety/security measures.
